2006 I knew I wanted to make Aliyah. My problem is that the Interior Ministry in Israel requires a rabbi's letter to acknowledge I am Jewish. The late and great Rabbi Rubenstein was the officiating rabbi at my bar mitzva and Cantor Berger was the cantor. I called Midway and spoke with the rabbi who told me no records were kept to document this milestone in my Jewish life, even though at 13 y/o I did not realize the the milestone. Does anyone know a rabbi whom will speak with my and perhaps after we speak would be willing to write a letter for the purpose of Aliyah for me? Please message me via Facebook if you can help. Toda

Do you have a copy of your parents ketubah? A certificate from any Jewish milestone; bris, Bar Mitzvah, wedding, anything? Do you have photographs from your Bar Mitzvah that might show your name on the synagogue's display case, a temple bulletin indicating the date, a Hebrew school graduation diploma, any sort of memorabilia whatsoever?
